Cemetery Screenings

Recently, a co-worker told me about Cinespia - the cemetery screenings at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Creepy? a little. Awesome excuse to hangout in a cemetery watching cult classics? Absolutely. The summer tradition of opening the cemetery gates to the public began in 2002 as a meeting place for film buffs and has since become an open forum for all who want to enjoy an oldscool flick ad picnic dinner.

Here's the deal: round up a group of your fav party people, pack a picnic dinner of some fresh cheeses, french baquettes and excessive amounts of red vino, arrive early to get premium seats (and extra reclining space for blankies and pillows), pay the $10 donation to keep the tradtion alive, rockout to the pre-flick tunes provided by onsite DJ, sit back and let the good times roll.

Noteworthy up-comers:
7/18 Bride of Frankenstein

7/25 Muppet Movie
