Nostalgia Knocks

I am a big believer in girl crushes -- all girls have them and if they tell you they don't, they're lying. It explains the phenomenon of girls befriending girls on facebook when they don't actually know each other but simply because they appreciate each others' great taste and personal style.

My biggest girl crush to date: Alexa Chung. Love her style, and she totally puts out this vibe that makes me kind of want to be her best friend. Basically, I'm that dorky girl that cuts out photos of her from the glossies and pastes them in my scrapbook... : P

Upon hearing that Alexa would be hosting her own talkshow, It's On W/ Alexa, on MTV, I was a tid bit giddy. The show puts a huge emphasis on new media outlets like Facebook & Twitter (totally brilliant) and despite MTV not quite catering to my 'demographic' -- I can't deny that I watch from my computer at work with baby earphones each day and LOL on multiple occasions. Enough gushing.

Alexa has exquisite taste in clothing - she pulls off the indie/rocker look and throws a bit of high-fashion in there for good measure.
